Football schedules for Fall 2012 are up under the "Schedule" module on the mobile app and under "Events, Schedules" on desktops; includes varsity, JV Black, JV Gray, Freshmen Maroon and Freshmen White schedules.
Pirates lineman and two-sport athlete Brad Beattie was named Most Outstanding Wrestler at the March 31 wrestling banquet. After posting a strong overall record, the senior grabbed district champion in the 220-pound weight class. He placed fourth at regional and earned a trip to last month's state tournament.
Other wrestlers receiving awards at the banquet were Rookie of the Year Emmanuel Calhoune, Newcomer of the Year Ryan Rigsby, Leadership Award winner Caleb Sumners, Iron Man Garrett Vance and Most Improved Wrestler Anthony Pena.
Kicker Seth Hiddink heads to Texas A&M University. He is seated with parents Jacquie and Gerard Hiddink. Standing behind are kicking coach and head soccer coach George Velten, Pirates head coach Bill Howard and soccer varsity assistant Frank Milligan.
Jess Croley, who started on the Pirates offensive line for three seasons, has signed with Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. Croley is flanked by parents Jess and Carmen Croley. Coaches John Rose, Joby Focke, head coach Bill Howard, Roger Byrd and Royce Slechta stand behind.
Kyle Fuller has been honored by the Texas High School Coaches Association as a selection to the 2012 THSCA All-Star Football Game presented by Fuddruckers. He will play for the North team.
Fuller is the son of Audrey and Larry Fuller.
The All-Star game will be played July 31 at the Alamodome and will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
The softball team looks to continue their undefeated district run at 6-0 when they host McKinney North tonight. The varsity game is set for 7 pm; JV plays at 5 pm.

The Pirates baseball team travels to J.J. Pearce for tonight's (3/27) contest versus the Mustangs. JV plays at 4:30 pm followed by the varsity at 7:30 pm.
The team has posted a 4-1 record against District 10-4A teams. They are currently in a three-way tie atop the district standings.

WYLIE, TX - The Wylie High School Football Booster Club, in conjunction with MobiTree, announced today the launch of the new Pirate booster club website and mobile website. Thanks to the software developed by MobiTree, Pirate fans now can obtain the same information on the go via their smartphone that was previously only accessible on their computer.
The new Wylie High School football website will offer a mobile device enabled version of the main website with all the same information and functionality Pirate fans are accustomed to. When fans go to the website, they will find useful, up-to-date information on their beloved Pirates in the palm of their hand via their smartphone including the latest news and scores, player rosters and coaches bios, schedules complete with GPS capabilities, photo galleries, coupons for sponsor businesses and more.
Working towards creating a user-friendly interface that adapts to the different smartphones on the market, the Wylie Football Booster Club and MobiTree remain steadfast to their goal in this product: creating the ultimate solutions package for Pirate fans.
